ABOUT US

& More

Adalah, which translates to ‘justice’ in Arabic, is Yemen’s leading non-aligned nongovernmental legal organisation. Headquartered in London with operations in Washington D.C. and Aden, we believe that upholding the rule of law is vital to the stability of nation states. In Yemen, we work to counter the challenges presented by conflict, using international legal expertise and local knowledge.

Adalah offers a unique combination of legal expertise, field analysis and academic research which it combines with its political knowledge and strategic thinking. We understand the practical challenges facing those working in conflict areas like Yemen, and have strong language abilities, cultural and political understanding which enables us to adapt to the ever changing and risky dynamics of this conflict.
With our extensive links to leading experts in international law and our strong ties and networks with different international and local organizations in Yemen, we have been able to impact policy and alleviate the suffering of civilians.
